SALVATION

The Plan of Salvation

“Jesus said to him, ‘I AM THE WAY, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father, except THROUGH ME!’ ” John 14:6

God has established a plan to combat our sinful nature. He came to earth as a human being to bring us back to Himself. If any other way would have worked, Jesus Christ would not have had to come. The WAY is a Person – Jesus Christ!

God did this for us because He loves us and wants us to know Him. God has already done His part to restore our relationship to Him. He took the initiative. Now He waits for each of us to individually accept what He has done for us. Our relationship to God is not restored by anything we do, but on the basis of what Jesus ALREADY did for us!

The PLAN OF SALVATION can be broken down into simple steps:

The RECOGNITION: That no one is good enough.
“There is no one righteous, not even one;” Romans 3:10

The REALITY: That we are all sinners.
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” – Romans 3:23

The RELIANCE: That God loves us, even as sinners.
“But God demonstrated His Love for us, in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” – Romans 5:8

“He hath made Him to be sin for us…that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.” 2 Corinthians 5:31

The RECEIPT: That God’s gift of provision is eternal life.
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” – Romans 6:23

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourself, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast.” Ephesians 2″8-9

The REPENTANCE: That we turn away from sin.
“Repent and believe the Good New!” – Mark 1:15 “God commands all people everywhere to repent” – Acts 17:30

“But unless you repent, you too will all perish.” – Luke 13:5

The REQUIREMENT: That belief and confession save us.
“That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, YOU WILL BE SAVED. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.” – Romans 10:9, 10

“For God do loved the world that he gave His one and only son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” – John 3:16

The RESULT: That Salvation is ours.
“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord WILL BE SAVED.” – Romans 10:13 “But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name.” – John 1:12

“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.” – Acts 4:12

YOU CAN TAKE THESE STEPS BY PRAYING THIS PRAYER TO GOD:
“Dear Lord, I know that I am a sinner, I believe Jesus was my substitute when He died on the Cross. I believe His shed blood, death, burial and resurrection were for me. I now receive Him as my Savior and surrender my life to Him. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
